Band Bio
Michael Lombardi, who stars in the hit TV show “Rescue Me,” is the founder and lead singer of New York City based hard rock band, Apache Stone. A life-long musician, Lombardi had played drums in numerous bands throughout the years but it was his introduction to guitarist, Hank Woods in 2008 that inspired him to place himself, his lyrics, and his voice front and center-stage.
Since their introduction, Lombardi and Woods have worked closely together and with many of New York City’s top musicians to create original material inspired by some of the greatest rock bands of all-time including Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Guns and Roses.
In 2009, Apache Stone released their first full-length album and was written into three episodes of the popular FDNY-inspired drama “Rescue Me” as part of an on-going storyline involving Lombardi’s character. The group has played to packed houses up and down the eastern seaboard and will be embarking on their first major US tour during Summer 2010.
